When can I have my reception?

On any day of the week from April 1st to 30th September. We do not host winter weddings.

How many guests can we invite?

130 seated for a formal reception, increasing to a total of 200 guests for the evening party.

Will I have exclusive use of the Venue?

Yes The Atrium, 3 reception rooms on the ground floor of the Hall and in dry weather the Terrace are exclusively yours to use for the day of your celebration. You will also have access to these areas on the day before to dress the rooms, and the following day to clear everything away.

Can I have my ceremony at Whitbourne Hall?

Whitbourne Hall is a private house so it does not have a licence for civil ceremonies. You may organize a blessing, or other marriage ceremony* as you wish. There are many spectacular churches in the area and many bridal parties choose Whitbourne Hall for their reception after their marriage or civil ceremony.

Is there accommodation for the Bridal party at the Hall?

We do not have facilities for overnight accommodation. There are excellent local Hotels, Farmhouse B&B and self-catering accommodation. Details can be found in our wedding brochure or upon contacting the weddings team.

Is there a licensed bar?

We do not have a bar licence, however you may wish to organise a pop up bar in the atrium, you can arrange this with the events team. You will need a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) for the sale of alcohol and for performance of music. Apply online from www.herefordshire.gov.uk ; this costs £21.

Can we have a live band?

Yes subject to obtaining a TEN (see above), and keeping to acceptable decibel levels you can have any music of your choice.

How late can we party?

We ask music and bar to end at midnight, and guests to leave by 00.30 hours

Can we put up a marquee?

You won’t need one; indoors there is room for up to a maximum of 200 guests. Arrange a visit to see for yourself how well your reception will fit into Whitbourne Hall

Are you dog friendly?

We can accommodate well behaved dogs who should be supervised at all times. For more information, contact our weddings team.

We pride ourselves on being completely transparent with our prices. Please contact the weddings team to discuss your requirements, so that they can give you a clear estimation of costs.
